The mission of Lumedica Inc. is to create affordable, easy to use, imaging technologies for use in research, industrial and clinical applications worldwide.

OQ LabScope 3.0

Lumedica Inc. was founded in 2014 by Dr. Adam Wax and Dr. William Brown. Our goal was to decrease the cost of optical coherence tomography (OCT) systems and to that end, we launched our first research OCT system, OQ Labscope 1.0 in 2017 with a price of $9.995. We are now offering the OQ Labscope 3.0 product line with options for speeds up to 80,000 A/scans per second and resolutions down to 2 microns. The OQ Stratascope was launched in 2019 and uses 1310 nm light source for deeper imaging in highly scattering samples. These systems are used in research and industrial applications in more than 20 countries around the world.

OQ EyeScope 1.0 /X

Lumedica Vision was added in 2018 to focus on OCT systems for the ophthalmic market. We have a pending FDA application for the OQ Eyescope 1.0 /X for retinal imaging. We have development activities for other clinical applications including dermatology, dental, oncology, and intra-surgical.
